My first videogame, Am I ready?

At the beginning of the year I’ve been working in my first own video-game. It has been developed on Unity3D and is a simple clone of the famous Arkanoid. You can find it in this link.

My first lesson here was, you need a plan for the game. When you are creating the game in a random way you realize that most of the time you are lost. In the middle of the development, I have to write an easy game plan. What are the parts of my game? How will be the artistic design?

It was a really small game but it show me that making and coding games were fun. It makes me affirm that this is what I want to do for a living.

The game design of this game was really simple, One menu and a level. It make me learn the basics of Unity3D engine and code in C#. Just one objective, destroy all the blocks before you lost your 3 lives.

It was an amazing experience. This small project also shown me that I have a lot to learn on game design and programming, but give me the energy to pursue my goals and allow me to demonstrate that I was able to attend the Games Programming course at SAE.
